The Moon, the Stars, and the Velociraptors, chasing me — Dreaming
Dreaming is a natural and wonderful part of human life. Every person dreams in some form, either while sleeping or while imagining a better future. Dreams can be beautiful, exciting, strange, or sometimes frightening. They make our minds active and allow our imagination to explore many possibilities.
When we sleep, our brain continues to work, and this can produce dreams. In dreams, we may see people, places, and events that are familiar or completely imaginary. Sometimes a dream feels so real that we remember it after waking up. At other times, we forget it within a few minutes.
Dreams are often connected with our daily lives. The things we see, hear, think about, or experience during the day can appear in our dreams. For example, a student who spends the day preparing for an examination may dream about school or examinations at night. Our dreams can therefore be influenced by our memories and emotions.
Dreaming is not only about sleeping. We also dream when we think about our hopes and ambitions. A person may dream of becoming a doctor, teacher, scientist, athlete, artist, or successful businessperson. Such dreams give us goals to work toward.
Dreams are important because they give us hope. When we have a dream for our future, we have something to look forward to. Even during difficult times, our dreams can encourage us to remain positive and continue trying. Hope can give us the strength to overcome challenges.
Many great achievements began as dreams. Before inventing something new or accomplishing a difficult task, people often imagine that it can be done. Scientists, writers, artists, and explorers have all used their imagination to create new possibilities. A dream can therefore become the first step toward an important achievement.
However, dreaming alone cannot make our wishes come true. We must work hard to achieve our dreams. A student who dreams of getting good marks must study regularly. Similarly, someone who dreams of becoming a successful athlete must practise and remain disciplined. Hard work turns dreams into reality.
Sometimes people have dreams that seem impossible. We should not immediately give up on such dreams. Instead, we should divide a big dream into smaller goals and work toward them step by step. With patience, determination, and confidence, even difficult goals may become achievable.
Children are especially good at dreaming and using their imagination. They can imagine themselves as astronauts, superheroes, doctors, teachers, or explorers. Their dreams make their games and activities more enjoyable. Adults can also benefit from keeping some of the creativity and imagination they had as children.
Dreaming can also help people become creative. Writers may get ideas for stories from their dreams, while artists may turn their imagination into paintings or drawings. Musicians can create songs inspired by their thoughts and feelings. In this way, dreams can contribute to art, literature, science, and many other areas.
Not every dream has a deep meaning, and not every dream will come true. Sometimes our dreams change as we grow older and learn more about ourselves. This is perfectly normal. What matters is that we continue to have positive goals and make sincere efforts to improve our lives.
We should also learn to balance dreams with reality. It is good to have high ambitions, but we should understand that success requires time, effort, and patience. We should learn from our failures instead of becoming discouraged by them. Every mistake can teach us something valuable on the journey toward our goals.
This is an important part of life. Dreams give us hope, inspire our imagination, and encourage us to achieve our goals. Whether we dream while sleeping or dream about our future, dreams can make our lives more meaningful. We should dream big, work hard, remain patient, and never stop believing in the possibility of a better future.
